Maribago Bluewater Beach Resort Turns 21

July 21, 2010 – Maribago, Lapu-lapu City, Cebu: The country’s prime and most visited beach resort in Cebu, Maribago Bluewater Beach Resort has turned 21 years old. Maribago Bluewater has been a good partner of Cebu Bloggers Society most especially in times of ups and downs, not just with CBS but so with their loyal partner companies and don’t forget their very own asset, their employees.

Established on July 21, 1989, Maribago Bluewater was just a family beach resort that served as a weekend getaway for the Alegrado family but after years, from its original 2-hectare property, we are now enjoying an almost 7-heactares of beautifully landscaped paradise. From 40 employees who helped start this resort, MBBR is now a big family of 350. And note, most or 80% of them are former lot owners and 33% have been with them for more than 10 years.

New in Maribago

Changes for the betterment were witnessed and experienced. Some of which are the Bungalow Cottages, the Amuma Spa Suites, Garden deluxe Rooms, Molto Italiano (from original Allegro Restaurant), The Cove and the Amuma Spa Cafe – serving health food. With the Facilities category, from just a swimming pool, Maribago now offers three lagoon-shaped pools – the original Garden wing Pool, the Allegro Pool and the latest Amuma Spa Pool.

The Other Resorts

Maribago Bluewater Beach Resort is the mother company of three other properties nationwide, namely; Sumilon Bluewater Beach Resort (located in the southern town of Oslob), Almont Beach Resort in Surigao and Almont Inland Resort in Butuan City. And what to expect? Will, they are about to open the third installment of Bluewater Resort, the Panglao Bluewater Resort in Bohol on June 2011.

With this milestone and achievement, I personally congratulates all staff, officers, managers and all people behind Maribago Bluewater Beach Resort’s success. For this growth, I know there always a best reason for us, your costumers and friends, to stay and be proud to be a Cebuano.
