Tron Movie at iMax 3D

October 28, 2010 – Thursday, I was lucky to be invited at a 20-minute movie preview of Tron at SM City Cebu iMax 3D, in courtesy of Walt Disney.

Excitement filled the Movie house as selected and invited audiences fell in the line for the registration and one by one claimed their 3D glasses. Together with other five Cebu Bloggers, we chose to sit at the left wing facing the white wall/ movie stage.

I remembered how my lucky charm touched my colleagues. During our way to our seats, I told them to sit beside me for you will win the raffle and I spoke it with my tongue-in-cheek. But what do you think really happened? Janmck Hilado, a friend and young online entrepreneur grabbed one of the TRON movie raffles. Wala! It’s my good luck charm as we did the HIGH FIVE!

Below is the details of Tron and its best to be watched in 3D at iMax.

Tron: Legacy is an upcoming sci-fi film scheduled for release on December 17, 2010 (US and Canada).  It is actually  a sequel to the 1982 film Tron.  The story is about Sam Flynn, a rebellious 27-year-old who is haunted by the mysterious disappearance of his father Kevin Flynn, a man once known as the world’s leading video-game developer.  When Sam investigates a strange signal sent from the abandoned Flynn’s Arcade—that could have only come from his father—he finds himself pulled into a world where Kevin has been trapped for 20 years. Generally, the Tron teaser did not really teased me that good. But for the story line, I tell you, it is a “if you are free this time”- watch movie.

SM City Cebu Cinema PHP 15 Movie is back

Yes, you read it right. The biggest Mall in Cebu, SM City Cebu is offering again the 15 PHP worth movie viewing, and it started last week. This time, the management focuses on original Filipino/Pinoy Movies. These Pinoy movies are scheduled from August 11 until November 30 of this year. So, instead of downloading it for free online, do a window shopping at SM City Cebu and take a rest while watching these movies.

Transformers 3: Rise Of The One Eyed Monster Movie

Watch or Download Transformers 3: Rise Of The One Eyed Monster Movie, the phrase that everyone always looking and searching online next to Avatar: The Last Airbender. But as of this moment, Michael Bay has not yet finished filming this awaited-movie. Lots of Surprises and changes were made and can’t wait to watch it on SM City Cebu’s Cinema, 3rd floor just above SM City Cebu Cyberzone.

The Film
Michael Bay, the director of Transformer Movie Series told USA Today that there are two changes that will entice Transformers fans. First of all is the idea that this movie is being shot in 3D. But take note, as we remembered, Michael did say that the Transformers 2 will be shoot in 3d but it did not realized.

This is Shockwave, the main villain of Transformers 3

Second of which is that your favorite Shockwave will be featured as villain. In the movie, this robot which can transform to laser gun and was in charge of the Transformer home planet while Autobots and Decepticons are having battle on planet Earth. Originally, Shockwave’s mold was produced by a company called ToyCo. But there was a confusion of this toy, because it once appear in toy stores around Christmastime and is being sold under “Galactic Man” as its name.

The Casts
Shia LaBeouf, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson and Ramón Rodríguez will be back for their original roles. In this film, Peter Cullen will remain as the voice of Optimus Prime. But sad to say, as already reported last May, Megan Fox dropped her appearance in Transformers 3. This idea which turned to realization began when Megan got a problem with unnamed Trasnformers crew members and even the director.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley

Surprisingly, British Model, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley will replace Megan in the role of Mikaela. Writer Ehren Kruger will be involved in this film but not with Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman, who were the writers on the first two installment of Trasnformers Movie

Michael Bay, Transformers Trilogy Director

Michael Bay stated the this movie will be the last film in the trilogy, thus this is a must-see movie for Transformers fans. Transformers 3: Rise Of The One Eyed Monster is scheduled to be release by July 1, 2011.
