Abscess: Symptoms and Treatment

Do you remember the skin allergy i got from a jelly fish when i had my vacation last time?
Well this time, its not an allergy!
yay! as of this writing i am still having this f*ck|ng skin disease, abscess
commonly known here in Cebu as “matag tiki”.. I am partially healed
but i still feel the pain it gives! damn!

so, here it goes, i went to our company doctor to consult this disease last Monday morning,
she give me prescriptions, 2 capsule (one is for antibiotic and another for pain reliever), and an antibacterial ointment cost 276 PHP. yay!

my thigh was infected, huihuhuuh

*SYMPTOMPS*
actually, it started when i felt that one strand of hair in my thigh was removed, it irritated and i intentionally scratched it with my fingers until it get infected and walla! it became abscess! damn!
It swelled and you would barely saw the redness around the infected area.

this is my medicine kit, yay!

*TREATMENT*
If fortunately, you will encounter the said disease, just follow below, this is what the doctor advise me to do for the past 2 days which i have filed a Leave of Absent..
1. Take the Antibiotic capsule thrice a day (this will depend to what your doctor prescribed you to do)
2. Together with the antibiotic capsule, you may take with the mafenamic acid, this will serve as pain reliever.

Clindal 300 g (antibacterial capsule) and Mefenamic Acid

3. Every four hours, apply warm compression
4. Apply antibacterial ointment twice a day (in my case, i applied it early in the morning and one before i sleep)

and my antibacterial cream!

and thanks GOD, as of now, i am partially healed, i will see the doctor tomorrow for farther treatment of just a follow-up consultation. yay!

  6. I had the same infection twice before and I used to treat it with almost the same medications. The first time I encountered such skin problem, it costs me around Php2,000. But when I researched trough the net and thank god we do have those The Generics Pharmacy here in Manila, I just spent around Php300. I also took a pain killer with a generic name of Tramal and antibiotics — one topical and one oral. The topical cream is Sodium Fusidate while the oral med is just any 500mg Amoxicillin. The antibiotics were to be taken (and applied) once a day for 7 days (for the cream naman I also apply twice a day pag nagsisimula pa lang ung infection) and pag hindi pa gumaling, take another 7-day treatment. I hope this will help you guys hehe….

  16. I’ve been a veteran in this since i was a child, after taking all those medicine it will eventually become soft then do a small operation on it (my mother always do the operation for me). take a bottle then put the hole of the bottle into the eye of the wound and let somebody push it towards you very fast. If “the white color that looks like the eye of a lizard will show” do it all over again until you pop it out, freaking painful it make a body builder cry. After that small operation clean the wound using alcohol and removed the antibiotic capsule then directly pour the content of the antibiotic directly into the hole of the wound then put plaster. NOTE: after the operation you will get feverish so take a fever medicine. This is base on my experience and not prescribe by any doctors. If you have money then consult your doctor and let them advice you maybe pay for an operation or buy high price medicine to extract the “Eye of a lizard” or known as “matag tiki”. This technique was advice by the old people.

  18. I have that so called matag tiki right now, i tried natural treatment. Unripe banana, yung kardaba, scrape the inside part, yong may itim itim na maliliit na buto, medyo sticky yong part na yon, and malamig lamig, i scraped that portion and then applied it on top of the matag tiki, after one hour, i observed that the swelling subsided, at lumabas yong pus dun sa mata ng infection, and i was relieved. Not yet totally healed but i didnt take any med, try nyo rin, it works… Do it again and again until maubos yong pus…
