THE ISLAND AND ITS SECRETS
The kick-off event of August for the Cebu Bloggers Society was a never-to-be-forgotten experience. After the invitation from the maribago bluewater cebu, here came the delightful activity organized by the Sumilon Bluewater Management, CBS to conquer, experience and love Sumilon Island.
[Around the Pavilion is the one and only romantic swimming pool]
Sumilon Island is situated in the Southeastern tip of Cebu and is the location of the world class Sumilon Bluewater Island Resort. Sumilon Bluewater Beach resort is owned and managed by Almont Holdings Incorporated (AHI) and is the sister resort of Maribago Bluewater Beach Resort. The resort offers various activities and services for the islanders, visitors and foreigners who want to embrace nature at its best. Sumilon Island has been a part of the Philippine History and the people were able to preserve its historical gifts. These include the very well-known Baluarte, a historical watchtower built as part of a warning system to thwart slavers and marauders in the 19th century, and also, the Boljoon Church.
[library, billiard, mini-bar and other stuffs comprises the Pavilion]
In the island sea side, you will see how the famous Sandbar shifts its location as the wind blows from the west and you will notice its new changed shapes. For the accomodations, you will be fulfilled with their fourteen rooms with private verandas that offer views of the sea, cove and the mainland, Cebu. The Island Pavilion house serve as the Resort Restaurant that prepares delectable fare of local and international cuisine. Swimming Pool and Mini-bar surrounded the Pavilion. The resort also offers Massage service for relaxation and has lot of games to play; like the Billiard and other board games. They have this what they call “Aquamania”, this is mainly the diveshop of the island which is fully equipped with snorkeling, diving and other gears used when it comes to sea and beach activities.
[World Class Rooms and Cottages are very well presented]
CBS says
The Cebu Bloggers Society was very glad of the treatment and hospitality that the management and staff have showed and offered. As we arrived in the island, we were met by the Sumilon Bluewater’s Resident Manager, Greg Perral. Smiling faces of the people are enough for us to start-up the loosening of stress caused by the city. We were introduced and oriented with their amenities, the beach locations, activities, swimming pool and other stuff that comprises the Island Resort.
[I really love the Fruit Salad..yummy!]
FOODS| Foods were served as the orientation went on. During lunch, lots of food choices were prepared. I even didn’t forget how many times i came to the buffet table and grabbed some Fruit Salad with nuts in it. Vegetable Salad, Fruits like Pineapple, watermelon, banana and others completed the meal. Our Sumptuous food offerings were provided by our in-house island kitchen managed by Chef de Partie Buddy Amodia.
[CBS pipz in their Kayaking and other Beach related activities]
KAYAK/BOATING/SNORKELING| I was so happy to ride again a mini-boat, after those childhood years when my Grandfather and I used to go to the sea just for this activity. Some of the CBS members were able to experience a hell-ride with the kayak. But before that, we have fun in the snorkeling activities, camwhoring took place.
The SANDBAR Experience| Im 22 years old now, but on that very moment, I felt like a child playing with those big waves, and hey! it was not just me, I bet all of CBS pipz did. White sands are everywhere and i remembered when i saw how the wind blows the sand particles and which i believed the main reason for its mysterious changed of shapes and shifted of location.
THANK YOU| The society would like to thanks Ruben of Pinoyworld for organizing and having us always in the top list. From the Maribago Bluewater, Sumilon Experience and until the next invitations – Thank you very much. We are expecting and excited to witness the sumilon bluewater video soon. To the management and staff of Sumilon Resort, our warmhearted Thank you to all.
