Discovering Cebu: UCC Coffee Cafe Terrace at Ayala

When you speak of coffee, everyone knows what we always think about and where to go, to Coffeeshop of course! But have you ever heard and gone to UCC? Nope, its not a school or any universities, its a Japanese Coffee Shop and i say to you —– it worth your money!

[Not your ordinary coffee shop in affordable way]

August 30,2009 [Friday] – The Cebu Bloggers Society core members were invited to witness and experience how the UCC [Ueshima Coffee Company] differs from any other coffeeshops running out there. From its History, to the production and to its elegant but simple Coffee Shops —- UCC definitely is UCC. UCC which started 1999, doesn’t buy coffee beans, they plant them in their major farms worldwide which can be found at Hawai, Jamaica and Indonesia and they operated in three concept stores: Vienna Cafe, Cafe Terrace and Park Cafe.

[Different coffees are served in different cup style]

They are proud to offer their top three best seller coffees:
1. UCC Blend – This is the perfect aroma they made, and is considered as to be having the best balance of flavor and aroma
2. Sumiyake – This is really is my favorite from the three (second is the Blue Mountain Blend). In our coffe point of view, this is the UCC’s version of what we commonly called espresso version for it is charcoal roasted and it differs mainly on its physical color but really tasted very good, even without sugar.
3. Blue Mountain Blend – another favorite of mine. Usually, this is best served and sipped with brown sugar, crystal caramel or just cream; all in all, UCC coffee rocks!

These are just some of the best coffees that UCC can offer to us, customers. The shop also offers breakfast meals, cakes, pastries and other desserts that for sure will satisfy your hunger and complements your pleasure time of eating.

[yummy cakes and pasties...]

For the place, i definitely appreciate how they came up of the idea of having a very high ceiling completed with elegant chandeliers with a flat screen TV at the side, facing the second level part of UCC. The tables and chairs share a great color combination and that correspond to the style and design of their cups, plates and other stuffs.

Generally, UCC is a cool coffee shop for corporate meetings or just a barkada hang out. You really can breathe there and foods are served in huge plate that for sure everyone will share and get filled. One other thing that UCC offers, they provide lemon water instead of a tap water to customers… i love it coz im a water addict!
