Miss Cebu 2010 Official Candidates

Cebu‘s yearly Fiesta is fast approaching, the Sinulog 2010. Sinulog is said to be the mother of all fiesta that’s why during the months of December going to January and extends to February, Foreigners and fellow Cebuanos from different location of the globe will come home to enjoy, pray and of course shout Pit Señor!

EUTS presents Proud Pinoys

It seems that Pinoy Talents and Pride are starting to capture attention from international awards.

Firstly, i would like to congratulates Efren Penaflorida for grabbing as the CNN Hero of the Year 2009 Winner. Actually, he is part of the Top 10 CNN hero of 2009 and for that, Filipinos must be proud again. Everyone believed in Efren for his cariton or pushcart way of educatig poor Filipino children. Different sectors most especially the education firms support Efren in his endeavor. Moreover, from the start till the end, BLOGGERS and blogs are one of the reason why he emerged at the top 10. Congratulations Efren and I hope people in the authority will somehow think and be mesmerized with your good doings. Keep it up and God will always be with you.

Second, for Miss Earth Philippines, Sandra Seifert who won the 1st runner up as Miss Earth – Air of this year. In addition, she also grabbed two major awards, Best in swimsuit and Best in Gown. Below is the complete list of Miss Earth 2009 winners:

Discovering Cebu: Mantawi Festival 2009

Today is the moment all Mandauehanon celebrate their annual Mantawi Festival.

But first, what do Mantawi means? Just a short history, Mandawe, which is also known as “Cove of Cebu” was the link of Magellan once he settled in the island. In this place, there grew vines (others say its trees) named MANTAWI. The place was then called Mandawe, from Mantawi, then later and at the present is now named famously Mandaue, part of the 3 industrious, commercialized and Tourist attraction cities namely; Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu City and the Mandaue City.

Mandue City is also known of its old and meaningful landmarks, one of those are the Tipolo Dry Dock Complex, the Eversly Childs Sanitarium, San Miguel Corporation, The Mactan Channel, The Mandaue-Mactan Bridge, The Marcelo Hernan Bridge and many others.

Yesterday was the coronation night of Miss Mandaue 2009 on which our Miss Earth 2008, Karla Paula Henry was once held as Miss Mandaue 2005 2nd Runner-up.
