Happy Holidays Friends and Family

As of this posting, it is two days before Jesus’s Birthday.

It is one day before my official break at the office.

As i am writing this post, I am alone in the office waiting for my other colleague to fill in the next shift

An hour before i write this post, I was shutting down all workstations here in the IT room.

If financial resources permit, I’m gonna buy new digital camera tomorrow instead of a laptop.

Some of our Cebu Bloggers Society friends and families are now heading to their respective provinces so that they can spend the birthday of Jesus with their families.

Speaking of family, I am so excited for the first reunion or get together of our clan. Our Clan includes surnames of Melendres, Monta,Pino, Partulan, Mondejar, Armenteros, Patindol, and Velayo.

These are thoughts that come into my mind while i am doing the post. Anyways, my only message to everyone is have a happy, safe and meaningful Christmas with your family, friends, and love ones.

CBS Friends, My Blogmates, my Plurkada, my Pesbukers, my Twitterers, all bugITs in the house ——

Thank you, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

PS: Thanks to Arfrits Epiz for my requested E-card.

Discovering Cebu: Shangri-La’s Mactan Resort and Spa

Foods and Drinks: I like their different Sushis. And of course my all time favorite, the vegetable salad is still the best. The fruits prepared are fresh i bet. I liked the pineapple. Because i am a liquid addict individual, i am a fan of their fresh milk. I do not know how many times i fetch for that milk. Their bacon is well served and the scrambled egg is delicious.

Facilities: I like their simple presentation of their wooden chairs located at their lobbies. Their mini-bar is the best.I also observed their elegant sala set in the center part of the lobby just infront of their well-themed Christmas trees.

Christmas: Christmas Trees are made creatively. There are five of them in front with different styles of presentation. There are Christmas booths just near the stairs and i found it very eye catching.

Merry Christmas to all!

A Cheesy Christmas for Pinoy

I Love my Cheese“, there said Miss Janette Toral as she made a joke on the suggested packaged Eden Cheese for Men at Shanggri-La’s Mactan Resort and Spa.

Christmas is everywhere. Christmas lights are decorated in plants, Belens and other creative stuffs. Lanterns were hanged outside the door. The cold air is already touching everyone’s house bringing with them the scents of every household’s dishes and preparations for the most coveted moment in our entire life, the Noche Buena. After that worst calamity that visited the Philippines, most especially the Metro Manila areas, Filipinos are not losing hope of standing up and bringing back what they lost and what were destroyed. Eden Cheese helped Filipinos in simple way of making Filipinos dishes for Christmas more presentable, delicious and nutritious.

With their launched activity entitled Keso de Gallo, a nationwide event coinciding with the traditionally celebrated Misa de Gallo ( a Catholic Christmas tradition wherein nine dawn masses are held starting December 16, which will culminate on Christmas eve), ordinary Filipinos can showcase their talent of creating simple dishes perfected with Eden Cheese in each nine towns that Kraft Foods visited. They started the visit at Bacolod City, down to Iloilo, Davao, Cagayan De Oro, Cebu City, Naga, Butuan City, Laoag and Pampanga. In each of the visited towns, Eden will feature a winning dish which is affordable and presentable for Noche Buena. In this way, Eden can help Filipinos who cannot afford to buy dishes and desserts from expensive stores and instead of buying, they can create their own dish out of their own sources in the backyard or in their garden.

Cebu, specifically at Our Lady of Fatima Parish Church, Basak Mandaue City, is the 8th town which Eden has visited and we are proud that our very own teacher Lorna Angcay’s (of San Nicolas Elementary School) creation was the highlight of the event. The recipe is named Mixed Vegetable Maja Con Keso. The very exciting part of this dish is that vegetables are the main ingredients for this very delectable dessert. Honestly, it really taste like a original maja, completed with stripped Eden cheese and kids will really love this without their knowledge that vegetables are in it.

For the people behind Eden Cheese endeavors, way to go and God bless.

Merry Christmas to all!
