Wanted: Waway

Cebu’s top subject of serial killings, rape and other crimes…. WAWAY!
At first, i thought this is just another old legend created by some folks which its story hits Cebu’s Chart.They said, Warlito Toledo or fearfully known as WAWAY is just a simple individual but this simplicity had changed when his wife became a victim of rape and his whole family was murdered. Some said, this is his ultimate revenge.. Hmmm, anyway, what i heard from my neighbors is that WAWAY has a Dark unexplainable power.. As what the common had interrogated on how he could enter one’s private house.. First, he will kneel down to the slippers available outside the said house, then, took a little dark spell, and after it… the owner of the said slipper will wake up unintentionally and will open the door and let the killer take in and there the crime begin.. hmmm! seems like WAWAY is not just for horror/suspense..he could also account himself to SCI-FI! LOL :) :) :)
Furthermore, it is also been said that the said figure was captured and sent to jail in DANAO, Cebu where he, quote-unquote did the first crime…As of this writing, his pictures were posted to some places here in cebu containing his name… WANTED:WAWAY!

  1. i think many exaggerate that “waway” as a fear factor. just another urban legend. it really catch our attention because there are so many who talk about him, warn about him.. waway is just another bug around.. hehhehehehe

  4. This fool tarnished the image of a pitiful victim also named Waway in the 70’s who became a cop killer as a result of police brutality of that time. Leonardo de los Reyes alyas Waway was a real person who was a hard working laborerer sending money to his parents in the province before he was brutalized by the police and became an insane cop killer. Reporter Ruther Batigas wrote his story and thousands of people attended his funeral when he was finally slain. Movies by Rudy Fernandez and Cesar Montano distorted and romanticized what was a very simple but true story of that poor man.

  5. well we cann’t judge criminal easily there’s a reason why some people like waway.asyong salonga,ben tambling,etc..became a criminal to our minds….criminal to most people who know nothin about their being….and a true friend to those people who know their being….so lets put the judgmnet to the hands of our Mighty Creator…

  7. Friends of Waway from Oppra Village are calling out for witnesses to take a stand of his slaying last March 2, 2009 at 3:30 am. He sustained four gunshot wounds, which splattered his brain all over the place. He was a good habal-habal driver, always polite, and soft-spoken, who usually stays up all night just driving his motorcycle, or just having fun with friends by playing cards. A lone gunman shot him four times while he was playing cards with two other guys. Said gunman bought mineral water near the sari-sari store across the baranngay hall before shooting Waway. He was wearing a fisherman’s hat. After shooting Waway, he walked up-hill, where a motorcycle in a vacant lot was suspected as his only get-away vehicle, or with a companion who acted as his driver. This motorcycle made a lot of noise when it started, and speed of up-hill. Several witnesses said: they saw a man about 3 days ago hovering the terminal area near the place where he was shot. This man is about 5′2 – 5′3 in height, with short curly hair, square sunken face, bushy eyebrows, a fair complexion, and fond of wearing blue t-shirts, and a hat when killing innocent victims. This guy is said to have killed a 55 year old man in Tangke, Talisay last Feb. 28, 2009. And also killed a Mepza worker from Pusok Cemento, Lapu-lapu City shooting him 7 times last December. This guy maybe riding a green motorcycle, sometimes wearing an old military hat. Please be advised that if he enters your area asking for people’s whereabouts: do not talk to him or give any information for he might be in your area to kill another innocent person. This guy might have been a member of Davao Death Squad but turned commercial out of greed for money. No longer for justice. So please be very vigilant, learn a lesson or two from our friend’s plight. We should not put justice in our hands, vengeance is not ours but for God only…

  8. We the friends of Waway in Oprra Village, Cebu City are inviting witnesses to give information to Guadalupe police for justice. We are requesting those who have seen a motorcycle speed of up-hill near Jenny’s house to give relevant information in solving this crime. If not, we are forever bound to die anytime in the hands of this commercial hooded killer pretending to be a vigilante. Anyone who had noticed a guy, or talked to a guy few days before March 2 from Capitol area going up asking about Waway please talk to the police now. You can keep your identity secret while doing this. We cannot just watch people that we know die in the hands of this greedy killer. He had lots of innocent victims already. Enough is enough. Please report any whereabouts about this guy who always wear a hat, on foot or in a green motorcycle.

We, the Rosaroso family is seeking justice, we want you to help solve the slaying of our relative Jimwell “Waway” Minoza— 24 years old, shot in the head 4 times by an unidentified gunman wearing a hat, while he was playing cards with friends outside a sari-sari store in Oppra Village, Brgy. Kalunasan, Cebu City last March 2, 2009 at 3:00 am. We believe the gunman is a vigilante turned hired (commercial) killer who walked up-hill and later boarded a motorcycle and speed of up-hill. Those who have seen the motorcycle or have some information, please do not hesitate to go to the Minoza residence, and help the family who are in deep pain and sorrow.
    Jimwell “Waway” Minoza is a great man who is always there for everyone if they needed help. Always polite and soft-spoken. We believe that he is an innocent victim.

  10. i watched this person on I SURVIVE at abs-cbn last night, i was so afraid of this guy, but im so glad that this person was totally died, and ces drillon told us that when he died the police shot there gun over waway, then ces told that “SA SOBRANG DAMI NG BALANG NAABOT NYA HALOS HINDI NA SYA MAKILALA” so its good for him, tumakas pa pala sya sa prison e, so he derserve that, kulang pa un sa mga taon pinatay nya, hes so brave he can do that..
